Do You Find Long Sales Letters Annoying?

Author: Lance Winslow

Have you ever gotten one of those 4 page sales letters in the mail? You think you are reading important information and you keep reading it. You nod your head every once in a while and think to yourself, hey this guy is right! or Yah, no kidding, that really is the way it goes isnt it? Have you ever gotten a 10 or 20 pages booklet sales letter in the mail; the really annoying type? Most of us have.

How about a website like that where they change the font every paragraph, color of font and bolding some words and italicizing others. These types of hype websites attempt to sell us something dont they and they talk in generalities getting you all hot and bothered, but never any substance. Instead they promise you substance at a later date. That is if you buy their product, booklets, videos or tapes. Yet how can you be sure you will not get more of the same?

Psycho-bable and use of mind bending psycho-cybernetic techniques? The fact is you do not know, as if you buy these items such as self-help tapes or books, they may just be that indeed. Now you maybe one who works well listening to tapes, perhaps they may help you? Maybe not, but you ought to know if the work or not for you.

It is interesting that the folks who promote this way use these tactics. Sure they do it because they work and do pull sales for them. But if they are so brilliant why do they resort to over-hyping their abilities? If they are so great shouldnt the products sell themselves through referrals?

Indeed, yet many say nothing happens until someone sales something does it? Zig Ziglar the famous sales hype man said that as he peddled his how to tapes and books to the masses, it worked for him didnt it? If you are annoyed at these salesy, colorful font, lengthy sales letters or websites you are not alone. Yet there are some who fall for them. It is interesting isnt it? Think on this in 2006.
