Motorola L6 - Sleek Design and Amazing Features at a Cost Suiting your Budget

Author: Simon Smith

The USP of the Motorola L6 is its slimness. Though it has been beaten by the Samsung p300 in slimness, by virtue of its other features and its price, it has been able to remain a favourite phone with people whose budget is not huge and yet want a phone packed with latest features.

Let us start the discussion of the features with the slimness. At 10.9 mm, Motorola L6 is still one the slimmest phone, if not the slimmest, in the market. Its candy-bar shape design is another attraction. The phone also has a chemically etched metallic keypad, similar to the RAZR range of phones.

Coming to the camera, Motorola L6 has a VGA (visual graphics array) camera (640x480 pixels) that lets you capture beautiful images. There is a video camera as well, but the STN display of 65k only is a bit disappointing. Video and camera experience would have been better had the display been of 262k. But then, you don't expect such things from a low-cost contract mobile phone, do you?

Coming to the audio features, Motorola L6 supports MP3 ring tones, both in-built and downloadable. There is a hands free speaker as well for those who use the phone on the go.

As far as the connectivity goes, L6 supports Bluetooth, SyncML and USB. There is a web browser for connecting to the Internet and WAP (wireless application protocol) and GPRS, class10 for fast data transfer.

For the game freaks, Motorola L6 has some wonderful embedded java games. The quality of the games is easily comparable to those available on video game consoles. The phone also supports the downloading of screensavers, images, and animations. It also has a decent memory of 10 MB. Other less remarkable features of this sleek phone are:
SMS, MMS, and EMS
Push to talk
Picture caller ID
Phone book of 500 entries
Triband

Though Motorola L6 Pink has all the major features offered by the expensive RAZR phones, its cost remains low. With the price likely to go down further, it's likely that the phone will retain its hold on people in a vibrant mobile market.
