The Upside Of Anxiety Disorder

Author: Glenn Smith

If you are seeking out Meditation as a way to deal with anxiety disorder then congratulations. You are heading down a path that will help you become what you are here on this earth for.

In my experience anyone suffering with anxiety disorder is someone who is operating at a very high level of consciousness. They are normally what I would call "nice" people. Very sensitive types who care about people, animals and the planet.

I see anxiety as unfocused energy. In my own experience when I suffered with anxiety, I was in a time of my life when I had no idea where I was heading. Meditation helped me to realize my potential and who I was meant to be.

Meditation practice can be as varied as the individuals who pursue it. When we think about meditation, it is easy to get a mental picture of Indian Gurus sitting in the lotus position. Luckily that is only one way to meditate and for some it is the best way. What I find helpful is that the goal of meditation is to quiet and focus the mind yet there are numerous ways to accomplish this. Because there are many ways it can be quite enlightening to seek out and work with as many as you can. In this way you will learn more about yourself and discover which way works best for you.

The common thread in all meditation practice is breathing techniques and I know that is the best way to start. Breathing helps up to bring our awareness into the body where our feeling place is. This in turn takes energy away from the mind so it has to slow down.

Within your body is you cellular memory of what you are meant to be doing with your life. Some call it our intuition although regardless of what it is called we can all relate to having a gut feeling that something was about to occur. Chances are if we trusted that feeling we would have made the right decision at the time.

Your intuition is the voice of your authentic self. The part of you that has been wanting to express itself your whole life. Meditate, calm the chatter of your mind, and then listen to the wisdom of your body.

Know that the amount of energy required to create anxiety within, when expressed outward in a positive way, will make a huge impact upon the world.

The picture of me is of course when I was young, yet I am still in touch with the boy in me. I love the youthful glee I am displaying. I can see that at that age I was in touch with my calling and that I know now is to spread love and light in the world.

After following a spiritual path of meditation and self awareness for the past 25 years, I know it is time to bring myself forward. My intuition has helped me fascilitate healing in over 20 thousand people and it is my intention to reach out to 20 million more.

My spiritual practice has led me to a stage of self realization where I a can see the beauty in everyone. There is not one thing that would turn me against another soul. I feel a deep connection with all of humanity and want very much to be a catalyst that brings everyone together. I may be way to touchy feely for some, but I am just right for most.

I was a massage therapist for 17 years and a hypnotherapist for 10 of those years. My career in the healing arts has helped me gain a keen understanding of the mind body philosophy. It is my belief that we are all physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual beings. If we want to feel balanced and whole we have to give expression to all of these parts of ourselves.

My personal preferences are the finer things in life, I love my creature comforts. The more I have explored my sensual nature the better I have felt about my true nature. I am all about truth and know from experience the more we accept about our inner richness the more whole we feel.

If you are searching for what your meaning in life is I wish you well on your journey. Realize that the more we look outside of ourselvs the further we get away from our truth.

The answers are within.

Yours in truth,

Guru Glenn
