Line 6 guitar amps Spider II deliver seven exciting different types of effects, consisting of chorus/flanger, phaser, tremolo, digital delay, tape echo, and sweep echo. By using Smart FX all effects can be tweaked easily, Top Tempo allows adjustment of delay times.

Line 6 has equipped the Spider II guitar amp with the Smart Control FX. By using the delay knob you can choose a standard delay, tape echo, and a sweep echo. You can choose between chorus/flange, phaser, and tremolo using the modulation effect knob.

Spider II guitar amps Tap Button allows you to set the speed of your delay effects, plus also gives you access to a Tuner, Distortion Boost, and a built-in Noise Gate.

When using the Tuner the amp model LED's correspond to the following strings on the guitar.

Clean= Low E String

Twang= A String

Blues= D String

Crunch= G String

Metal= B String

Insane= High E String

The distortion boost of the Line 6 Spider II guitar amp allows you to hit the model harder and get a more distorted sound, by boosting your guitar signal before it reaches the Amp Model.
